Introduction
This course takes you through a series of modules or “lessons” providing a systematic approach to developing leaders (both yourself and others) using a universal leadership competence model.
The course begins with an overview of the model and an approach to rating an individual’s leadership abilities against that model. It goes on to provide a take on each of the 19 competences in the model and a concluding section. It’s not essential to work through the modules or lessons in order but that approach is likely to be the most satisfactory.
Individual lesson material is presented as a 5 – 10 minute explanatory video and can also be accessed as text (either embedded in the page or as a PDF transcript). Both the video and the text have the same information. You can work with either, depending on preference. Each of the 19 competences also has an associated checklist with which you can evaluate your practice. The checklist can be downloaded as a PDF, or completed on-line as a “quiz” using the facilities available. The on-line version stores your answers and can be returned to in the future and retaken for comparison if you wish.
